Set is the god of desert, storms, and aliens in ancient Egyptian religion. In later mythology he was also the god of darkness and chaos.

In Pharaonic mythology, Set is depicted as a usurper who killed and maimed his brother Osiris. Isis, the wife of Osiris, reassembles and embalmed his body. Horus, son of Osiris, sought revenge against Set, and myths describe their struggles. The death of Osiris and the battle between Horus and Set is a popular event in Egyptian mythology.

In the era of the occupation of the Hyksos in Egypt (and the king of Egypt, Ahmose, expelled them), these people merged between six and their sublime deity Baal (Ba’r with hieroglyphs) and became the chief of their gods, and they worshiped him and sanctified him under the name of Sutakh.
